This Micro Lesson applies a classic R&B shuffle feel to an early rock groove based off of the key of "A."
The open 5th string "A," plays an important role in establishing this riff's feel and tonality.
In measure one, the open 5th string features prominently to push the groove in alongside of a 4th interval double-stop phrase operating from the of "C" and "D" chords.
A short melodic idea based upon single-note lines turns the phrase around and pulls everything into the 1st and 2nd endings.
Watch that bend and pull off lick at the final measure where the progression heads back to the top. Take good care in establishing proper technique. Use a metronome to keep good meter. Enjoy!
