Micro Lesson 101: "B Major" Major Pentatonic Lick
This Micro Lesson takes a look at a very melodic Major Pentatonic Lick in the key of, "B Major."
The lick uses a smooth position shifting approach that covers three pentatonic neck patterns from the 7th position up to the 12th.
Starting from a sixteenth-note hammer-on pull-off idea on second string, we move across the 3rd and 4th strings and shift into the 14th fret in measure two.
Measure three applies a duplicate rhythmic concept as found in measure one, using a mix of sixteenth's and eighth-notes. The chord harmony covers the Root to the sixth, to the four-chord, (I-VI-IV), of the key of "B Major." Enjoy!
