Micro Lesson 108: "D Minor" 16th-Note Speed Lick

Welcome to... "Micro-Lesson 108"

This Micro Lesson covers the fast-paced sounds of 16th-note runs. This particular speedy guitar lick covers several positions in the key of "D Minor."

Starting from the 5th position, we ascend through the, "D Natural Minor," scale applying some slides, hammer-ons and pull-offs to change positions.

Once we reach the 3rd guitar string we begin a series of slides using 5th intervals. These allow us to rapidly change positions from 8th up to 11th very quickly. Once in the 11th position we play off of the "Bb" tone finishing off the run up the fretboard with some of the, "D Minor," Pentatonic scale.

Take your time building speed. Be sure this guitar licks fingerboard layout is well memorized along with your choice of fingerings. Use a metronome to build speed. Enjoy!
