This micro lesson covers a Blues Turnaround Lick in the "Key of E"
This Micro Lesson covers a traditional Blues Turnaround phrase. Blues turnaround licks take us back to the tonic chord of a Blues progression. And, this particular phrase really spices things up by using an altered dominant chord at the end of the lick. Scales used are; Minor Pentatonic and the Blues Scale off of the root of, "E." Phrasing devices include; "half" and "quarter-step" bends. Plus, two fast sixteenth-note triplet ideas that apply rapid, "hammer-on" and "pull-off" "slide" techniques. Enjoy!
